A STELLAR SUMMER
June 9 - July 24, 2026
Stellar Gardens is excited to present our third year of summer programs. Building off of the previous summers' successes, we have learned and grown, kept some things, improved on others.
This summer 2026, we will once again immerse in nature among Stellar Gardens' several acres of permaculture jungle in the Moloa'a area, while we cultivate mindfulness skills, learn cob building, play in the surrounding fresh water stream, tend to the bees with hands-on beekeeping, create beautiful art, play games, get muddy, dye clothes with plants, harvest food, cook over fire, shepherd the sheep, play charades and chess, paint a mural, beach days and whatever else the keiki inspire for this adventure!
We are three mentors, Jackson Nash, Melissa Nash and Yoni Rivers (see photos + bios below). Together we will host a group of up to 15 keiki ages 5 -12, with the intention that we will have activities for all ages as well as break into two smaller groups of older kids + younger kids if needed, to offer activities specific to each age group. Jackson will be the primary mentor Tuesday - Friday with Melissa and Yoni supporting two days each.
While we know many families love to travel during the summer and go to other summer programs, we encourage each keiki to attend for the whole 7 week program. Many of the experiences build upon each other, and it's so wonderful for the children to be able to follow through with a whole project to completion. Of course if you aren't able to attend all 7 weeks, there will be countless activities that every child will love to do and will make lasting memories.
Together, we are creating A Stellar Summer of friends, learning and fun! We are so excited to grow with you!

Meet The Mentors
Melissa & Jackson Nash

Jackson + Melissa are the founding stewards of Stellar Gardens. They have cultivated the land for over 14 years turning it from kind of a junk yard, into a wild jungle of fruit trees, sheep, dogs, cats, chickens, bees and their family and friends.
Please see more about them and their journey of creating Stellar Gardens by clicking this link.
Yoni Rivers

Yoni is a child of the earth and a mother to four wildlings of her own, ages 10 months to 9 years, and a photographer. She finds joy in growing flowers, tending gardens, and embracing the small bits of magic woven into everyday life. With a deep respect for the island and the land around us, Yoni loves helping keiki get their hands in the dirt—slowing down, practicing mindfulness in the garden, growing food & caring for the earth.
Before becoming a mother, Yoni was passionate about long-distance hiking and backpacking & completed the entire Pacific Crest Trail (2,655 miles from Mexico to Canada) in 2015. Those miles deepened her belief that nature is one of our greatest teachers and healers.
This summer, Yoni looks forward to sharing the wonder of the natural world with keiki—gardening, harvesting food from the land, cooking over fires, natural dyeing, crafting, building, and letting curiosity lead the way. She believes the best childhood memories are made with muddy feet, open skies, and a little bit of everyday magic.
